The Planning and Zoning Commission last week accepted an application for a special permit and site plan modification for the Manor House Inn and set a public hearing for January 14.

The Friends of the Meadow Committee anticipates having to raise $150,000 to $250,000 to complete and maintain the work being done to restore City Meadow. 

Norfolk has a new business, the Icebox Café, which is located at 10 Station Place.

The Planning and Zoning Commission Tuesday night accepted an application for a site plan modification for the Manor House Inn on Maple Avenue. 

The finance board approved going to a town meeting to transfer $100,000 out of the town’s capital reserve to help pay for new boilers at Botelle Elementary School.

A success story unfolded at the transfer station December 4, when officials and industry representatives cut a ribbon dedicating the new 13-acre solar array.

Construction bids for Norfolk’s new fire house could be let by late February. At a meeting Thursday night, architect David Stein said construction design is now 60 to 70 percent ready.

The Norfolk Fire Department has banned any open burning for the foreseeable future. This includes campfires, backyard fire pits, chimineas, etc.
